FAQ

  • Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
    The PDF is temporarily processed in server memory to apply encryption, then immediately deleted. No files are permanently stored on the server.
  • What password encryption is used?
    This tool uses standard PDF encryption (AES-128 or AES-256) depending on PDF version. The password is required to open and view the PDF.
Disclaimer: PDF password protection requires server-side processing with qpdf or pdftk tools. Files are processed in memory and immediately deleted - never permanently stored. If encryption fails, the server may not have these tools installed. Contact your server administrator to install qpdf or pdftk.
